Day 1 Delhi arrival & transfer to Delhi hotel for overnight stay

On arrival at New Delhi airport, you will be greeted & assisted by the representative of Optima India Tourism. Representative of Optima will take you to the pre-booked Delhi hotel and ensure smooth check in at the hotel. Day 2 Old Delhi & New Delhi sightseeing tour

The second day of Rajasthan Forts & Palaces Tour in Delhi will be your first real exposure to exotic India. The political capital of India, Delhi, since the ages, has been political centre of tumultuous upheavals of north India. Day 3 New Delhi-Agra (210 kms/ 04 hrs)-Agra sightseeing tour

The third day of Rajasthan Forts & Palaces Tour is reserved for visiting famous monuments of Agra, the seat of Taj Mahal. Have delicious breakfast in New Delhi hotel and depart for Agra. On arrival at Agra, you will be directly taken to pre-booked Agra hotel where representative of Agra and tour guide will meet and greet you. After smooth check in at the hotel and relaxing a bit, move along with Agra tour guide to visit famous monuments of Agra, namely- Agra Fort, Tomb of Akbar (Sikandara) and Baby Taj (tomb of It-Mad-ud-Daula). Later, after visiting famous monuments of Agra, return to Agra city. Refresh and rest for some time. Late afternoon, move for viewing Kalakriti – Mohabbat-e Taj Show. Day 4 Taj Mahal visit; Agra- Fatehpur Sikri- Abhaneri village-Jaipur (235 kms/05 hrs)

The first monument a visitor tries to see in Agra is Taj Mahal but, at the same time, he/she prefers to behold Taj Mahal at the time of sunrise when, supposedly, Taj Mahal looks amazing. Keeping in view this desire of a guest, we planned to take you Taj Mahal 2nd day of Agra tour. In the very early morning, approximately around dawn hours, you will be taken by Agra tour guide to Taj Mahal. The time of sunrise has been purposefully chosen so that you could see the Taj Mahal when it looks most stunning and beautiful. After watching Taj Mahal, return to Agra hotel. Have breakfast, refresh and move for Jaipur- the Pink City – the capital of Rajasthan. On the way to Jaipur, 35 kms from Agra is located deserted medieval town of Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Akbar on a grandiose scale to make it capital of his kingdom but due to paucity of potable water made him to re-look his plans. But the gargantuan and fine monuments are still well-preserved. Have a stop-over there and visit monuments-rich Fatehpur Sikri. The famous monuments of Fatehpur Sikri include Buland Darwaja, Jodhabai Palace, Salim Chishti Shrine and Jama Masjid.

After visiting Fatehpur Sikri, continue your drive to Jaipur. About 95 kms before Jaipur, is located a historical village of Abhaneri. This village tour will present before you ancient lineage of India in terms of cultural values, architectural gems and traditional rural lifestyle in villages of India.

Abhaneri is a village about 95 kms from Jaipur on the Jaipur-Agra Road. A detour is well merited for its amazing stepwells or 'baoris' and Harshat Mata Temple. The village's original name was Abha Nagri and its present name is Abhaneri. Gurjar king Mihir Bhoja ruled over the Gujar kingdom in the ninth century AD. The ruins of the temple also speak of the 10th century architectural and sculptural styles. There is a huge tank named "Chand Baori", opposite to the temple fortified on all four sides with bastions for defence. Even though Abhaneri is now in ruins, the place has a distinct reminiscence about itself.

Day 5 Jaipur city sightseeing tour

Day 6 Jaipur sightseeing tour

The 2nd day Jaipur tour is dedicated to sifhtseeing of famous forts and palaces of Jaipur. Along with that, pristine Indian ‘deity-worship’ rituals can be enjoyed in the evening at Govind Dev Ji temple. Further exploration of market is still on cards. The excursion to three prominent forts of Jaipur- Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort & Nahargarh Fort- will begin after early morning breakfast. Have breakfast in Jaipur hotel and proceed for exploring rich heritage, royal past, glorious history and refined craftsmanship of Jaipur while making a tour of Jaipur forts. First and foremost, proceed on for Amber Fort excursion. Take an excursion to Amber Fort. Enjoy elephant ride from the foothills of Amber to the main gate of Amber Fort at the hilltop. After Amber Fort, you will be visiting Jaigarh Fort, still under the possession of the royal family of Jaipur. Day 7 Jaipur – Bikaner (by car- 330 Kms/ 06 Hrs)

Journey from Jaipur to Bikaner will be an entry into a desert land. Bikaner, located on the edge of Thar desert, is known for its lust for dessert and desrt safaris. Having enjoyed scrumptious breakfast in Jaipur hotel, depart for Bikaner. The Camel City, as Bikaner is called, offers opportunity to view Rajput forts, palaces, havelis, temples and vibrant culture.On arrival at Bikaner, representative of Optima India Tourism will assist you to transfer to the designated hotel. Day 8 Bikaner –Deshnok- Jaisalmer (By Car 330 Kms/07 Hours)

Bikaner, situated on the verge of Thar desert, imparts a feel of entering into a desert region but the real pleasure of exploration of desert starts in Jaisalmer. On 8th day of Rajasthan Forts & Palaces Tour, you will be moving for Jaisalmer. Having enjoyed the food delicaies of Bikaner at breakfast in Bikaner hotel, depart for the desert city of Jaisalmer. On the way to Jaisalmer, you will be taken to Deshnok, the place popular for its Karni Mata Temple, known among the tourists as Rat Temple. Famous as the Rat Temple of Deshnok among the western tourists, Karni Mata Temple houses holy statue of Mother Karni in its sanctum sanctorum, the official deity of Jodhpur and Bikaner kingdoms. Karni Mata is considered as an incarnation of goddess Durga. Karni Mata Temple of Bikaner is home to hundreds of rats, treated as sacred. Priests and devotees protect the rats. Devotees have to remove all leather articles including belts and wallets before entering the main temple. Devotees bring grains and milk as offering to the temple which is devoured by the resident rodents. It was quite interesting to watch the rats drink off the deep pan in a very civil way.

Having seen Rat Temple, depart again for Jaisalmer, the land of golden sand-dunes. About 5 hours long car drive passes through beautiful desert landscape. Day 9 Jaisalmer sightseeing tour

Jaisalmer is one of the most coveted tourist destinations of Rajasthan. Chivalry of Bhati Rajputs, Sonar Qila (Golden Fort), uniquely designed and sculptured havelis (mansions of erstwhile nobles), desert lifestyle, intricately carved Hindu and Jain temples, camel safaris, artisans villages, bustling and colourful market, traditionally attired people, folk dance and music etc. are major attention grabbers. Along with tour guide, proceed to visit major attractions of Jaisalmer. First, you will be taken to Golden Fort of Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer Fort or Sonar Qila or Golden Fort, covered with golden colour, was founded by Rawal Jaisal on Trikuta hills. Nathmalji-ki-Haveli, Patwon-ki-Haveli and Salim Singh-ki-Haveli are the most famous and oft-visited mansions. After visiting havelis of Jaisalmer, have lunch in a nice city restaurant and explore local market, known for its ethnic and handicraft items. Having seen, explored and experienced local culture of Jaisalmer, you will be taken on a short camel ride in desert area, an exotic India experience. Day 10 Jaisalmer –Osian- Jodhpur (by car- 270 Kms/ 05 Hours)

Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel and then drive to the city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. En-route visit Osian. Osian is laden with great ancient history and marvellous ancient Hindu & Jain temples. Though a small village now-a-days, Osian used to be a famous trade and cultural centre on old silk route. After visiting Osian, move for Jodhpur. Upon arrival in the Blue City – Jodhpur, representative of Optima India Tourism will assist you to transfer to the designated hotel. Day 11 Jodhpur sightseeing tour

After early morning breakfast in the hotel, you will be taken on Bishnoi Village Safari which will be an altogether different experience. Bishnoi is a Hindu community with eco-friendly ethos reflecting in their true love for nature and animals. A Bishnoi village safari will unfold before you rich cultural lineage of Rajasthan. The Bishnoi people are non-violent people and don’t even harm a green tree. Due to their religious ethos, the people of Bishnoi sect resort to manufacturing various handicraft articles to earn their livelihood. During the course of Bishnoi village safari, you will happen to see making of pottery, weaving of carpets and rugs (durry) and block printing.

After village safari, return to Jodhpur hotel. Relax, have lunch and proceed to visit the mammoth Mehrangarh Fort and explore beautiful palaces and temples within the fort complex.Also visit the Clock Tower, the Umaid Bhawan Palace & Museum, the Jaswant Thada – the royal cenotaph memorial and other tourist spots. Day 12 Jodhpur-Ranakpur- Udaipur (by car 265 Kms/05 Hours)

After hearty breakfast at the hotel, proceed for Udaipur. On the way, visit Ranakpur temple- one of the most famous Jain temple town of Rajasthan, India. Ranakpur is like an oasis amidst a desert landscape. After sightseeing, have your lunch in a nice restaurant of Ranakpur. After visiting Ranakpur temple, proceed for Udaipur which is almost 95 kms away from here. On arrival at Udaipur, check in at the pre-booked hotel. Day 13 Udaipur sightseeing tour

Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel and then embark on Udaipur city tour. Udaipur, known by several names like ‘Venice of East’, ‘City of Lakes’, ‘City of Sun Rise’. Udaipur had been capital city of erstwhile Mewad region of Rajasthan and represents the true & real aspects of Rajasthani art, architecture and culture. City Palace of Udaipur is the largest palce complex in Rajasthan. True embodiment of Rajasthani architecture, the majestic City Palace is a marvellous constellation of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. City Palace houses the most beautiful temple- Jagadish Temple- within its complex. Another attraction of Udaipur is Jag Mandir Palace, built of yellow sandstone and mable. The pietra-dura work of Jag Mandir Palace, a three storeyed palce complex, has been a source of inspiration for Shah Jahan while embellishing Taj Mahal. Saheliyon Ki Bari and Bagore ki Haveli are other famous monuments on the cards while Udaipur sightseeing tour is planned.
